1. Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) will build Malaysia’s tallest building near the historic Merdeka Stadium at a cost of about RM5 billion with completion expected in 2015!
a. The location of the proposed building has lousy traffic flow currently! Does the 100 story building fulfill the DBKL by-laws?
b. How about a feasibility study to see if this project is viable? This is not the first time this project was suggested. In fact I read somewhere that the Arab investors came and left to UK cause they did not think it was a viable project!
c. This brings us to the question of cost! 5 Billion is a lot of money. Worst still is that most of Malaysia's mega project will go way over budget! So it may cost more like 10billion which is even more money.
Let's just hope that PNB don't run out of money and make it an abandon building (like the monorail city)or forget to pay their workers (Istana negara)!
d. Speaking of workers, who will be building this mega project? Using expertises from local professionals or foreign engineers?? Who build Penang bridge? (Koreans?) Whose tech build Proton? (Japanese?) Who about Petronas twin towers?
HOW DO YOU TAKE PRIDE OF A BUILDING THAT IS NOT BUILD BY MALAYSIAN OR MALAYSIA's TECHNOLOGY??
HOW DO YOU STIMULATE THE ECONOMY WHEN SO YOU HAVE SO MUCH MONEY FLOWING OUT OF THE COUNTRY?
e. Speaking of stimulating the economy, what I don't like about this and the budget is that too much project and money is concentrated only in the Klang valley!
